PATROLIoT is an innovative wildfire detection solution powered by advanced Edge AI technology. Developed by Catalink Limited, it was born from research conducted within the EU-funded SILVANUS project — a €24M Horizon 2020 initiative tackling wildfire management across Europe and beyond.
Unlike traditional systems that rely on manual surveillance or cloud-based processing, PATROLIoT deploys embedded machine learning directly on the device. The result: fire threats are identified in real time, at the source, with zero dependency on internet connectivity.

When a threat is confirmed, PATROLIoT immediately dispatches alerts to the monitoring dashboard and connected emergency systems. Firefighting teams are notified before the fire has had time to spread.

PATROLIoT emerged from the SILVANUS project — a landmark €24 million EU-funded initiative focused on building an integrated technological platform for wildfire management. With 49 partners spanning Europe, Brazil, Indonesia, and Australia, SILVANUS brought together environmental scientists, civil protection authorities, and technology innovators to create the next generation of forest fire prevention tools.
